Idukki: In a gruesome incident, a couple killed their newborn child at Kambammettu here on Friday.
The Madhya Pradesh natives strangled their child to death soon after birth, police said.
The child was born to the couple -Sadhuram and Malati- out of wedlock on May 7. The couple were living together at Kambammettu, Manorama News reported.
While Sadhuram is in police custody, Malati is undergoing treatment at a hospital here.
